-17-南予医誌 Vol.20 No. 1 2020Objective:This study aimed to clarify the association between the occurrence of illness and meteorological factors in Ehime Prefecture.Methods:We retrospectively analyzed the eects of meteorological factors (weather, atmospheric pressure, temperature, humidity, and seasonal trends) on emergency room admissions among adults at Ehime University Hospital from January 2015 to December 2015.Results:The atmospheric pressure in the emergency room on admission day and/or the dierence in atmospheric pressure from the admission day were signicantly different in the digestive, respiratory, orthopedic, urological, gynopathy, and dermatological disease groups than in the other disease groups. The rate of admissions for digestive disease was higher in winter than other seasons. The rate of admissions for orthopedic diseases was higher in spring than in other seasons.
