Such refractory cases bother us about how and when medications to be used. We experienced a peculiar boy who had NS refractory to intensive treatments including cyclophosphamide and cyclosporine A (CyA). The three-year-old boy was nally diagnosed NS with IgA nephropathy by the re-biopsy. He showed frequent relapses, which leaded him to receive not only cyclophosphamide but also CyA. During the period of about 10 years before admission, he showed hyper choles-terolemia and serum albumin 2.0 g/dl, decreasing gradually. And then he was transported to the Hospital, because of his poor condition with anuria. LDL apheresis was effective for the patient with refractory NS, and for getting back the sensitivity of medications.(Nan-yo Med J 2019; 19: 67-70.)Key words:Nephrotic syndrome, LDL apheresis, refractory A case of severe refractory nephrotic syn-drome which achieved complete remission in the wake of LDL apheresis treatmentAkira AKAMATSU1), Masatoshi HAYASHI2)Koji NAGATANI2), Manabu GOMADA3)1) Department of Nephrology, Uwajima City Hospital2) Department of Pediatrics, Uwajima City Hospital3) Department of Internal Medicine, Nagato General Hospital
