We schedule annual disaster training, but a limited number of peo-ple participate, and we were concerned that we were unprepared for a real disaster. There-fore, we explored differences in earthquake knowledge and awareness among nurses, expe-rienced trainers, and those participating in training. We found that experienced night shift leaders participating in training read the manual and understood their roles, but, overall, knowledge of earthquakes was low and attitudes toward earthquakes perfunctory.
