南予医誌 Vol.18 No. 1 2017-22-Crash caesarian sections performed in our hos-pital over 7 yearsAbstract We define crash caesarian sections as those performed under general anesthesia. Of 2868 childbirths, 834(29.1%)were caesarean sections, of which 391(13.6%)were planned, 431(15.0%)were emergencies, and 12(0.42%)were crash cases. We reviewed the length of surgery time, the decision-to-delivery(D-D)time, and the prognosis of crash cases. The D-D time was 20 min longer on holidays and at night, but did not significantly affect outcomes. It takes time to gather staff members out of hours.(Nan-yo Med J 2017; 18: 17-22.)keyword;Crash caesarian sectionMari YANO , Masaki KIYOMURA , Mari IWAMOTO ,Norihumi NAKAHASHIDepartment of Obsterics and GynecologyUwajima City HospitalGoten-machi , Uwajima , Ehime, 798-8510 , Japan
