南予医誌 Vol.15 No. 1 2014-64-Abstract A 78-year-old woman who was treated with chemotherapy for mantle cell lymphoma re-lapsed in the vicinity of the duodenum. We chose radiotherapy for local control. The patient developed renal failure two days after radiotherapy started. We determined that tumor lysis syndrome (TLS) had been precipitated by radiotherapy. She recovered from TLS after treatment with a diuretic and infusion. We retried radiotherapy using a diuretic, infusion, and rasburicase, and TLS did not recur. We should consider the possibility that TLS may occur not only during chemotherapy but also during radiotherapy.(Nan-yo Med J 2014; 15: 58-64.)A case of tumor lysis syndrome precipitated by radiotherapy for mantle cell lymphomaNorihito INOUE1), Masaki MARUTA1), Hisaharu SHIKATA1), Masahiko KANEKO1), Yuuma INOUE2), Takaaki IWAMURA2),Takashi TAKEGUCHI2), Akira FUKUI2), 1) Department of Hematology2) Department of Radiology Uwajima City HospitalGoten-machi, Uwajima, Ehime 798-8510, JAPAN
