南予医誌 Vol.15 No. １ 2014－26－Abstract An X-ray tube high voltage generator was calibrated in August 2013. Using the dose cal-culation system SESD-10, the dermal absorption at the radiographed site was calculated and compared to the 0.3 mGy reduction guideline recommended by the Japan Association of Radiological Technologists. The mean ESD was 0.348 mGy in men and 0.360 mGy in women. The overall mean ESD was above the recommended guideline. Image quality was assessed using the S value; the value differed because of the image-reading device, but the S values were appropriate under the study conditions. Three levels of sensitivity automatic exposure control were applied.
