Bisphosphonate and selective estrogen-receptor modulators are used as first drugs for medical treatment. Bisphosphonate in particular improves bone density imme-diately and is frequently used to reduce the risk of bone fracture. However, an association between atypical fractures and bisphosphonate-related osteonecrosis of the jaw has been reported. We experienced one case of atypical pelvic fracture related to the long-term use of bisphosphonate.
